viewers tuned in to watch all 15 couples take to the stage again on Saturday night for the second week of this year’s edition of . While there were some impressive scores from the judges on the night, dancer Graziano Di Prima wasn’t impressed when referred to him by the name of another Italian dancer.
Motsi became red in the face when she mistook Graziano for fellow Strictly pro, Giovanni Pernice on Saturday.
The panellist was critiquing Graziano and his partner Kym Marsh’s Viennese Waltz when she inadvertently used the wrong name.
She quickly corrected herself, and claimed the abundance of “Italian boys” on the show was making her confused.
In her critique, Motsi said: “There were so many beautiful moments. As soon as you get to the beautiful Giovanni-”

She cut herself off and went on: “Er, Giovanni? Graziano! Graziano – all these Italian boys! Sorry! It’s confusing, it’s confusing!”
Graziano pulled an offended face for the cameras while Motsi apologised.
“Welcome to Italy!” she exclaimed and tried to continue as the audience burst into laughter.
Despite Motsi’s apology, viewers watching at home couldn’t help taking to social media to comment on her mishap.

Twitter user @tj78_rm laughed: “Motsi calling Graziano, ‘Giovanni’, made the audience go ‘oooh’ as if she’d just called her husband an ex’s name in bed.”
@LeaVictoria02 said: “Motsi! Overwhelmed with the three Italian pro dancers.”
@queenoftartan joked: “Much like Motsi I am overwhelmed by all the lovely Italian men.”
“‘All these Italian boys’,” @Zobear wrote. “Why do you think I watch Motsi??”

Estelle Hart added: “No one has ever been more relatable than Motsi not being able to tell men apart.”
And @escandrew47 tweeted: “Motsi saying what we’re all thinking regarding the Italian men on this show.”
Thankfully, the judge quickly recovered and it seemed she and Graziano were back on good terms.
The dancer and his celebrity partner Kym will be back on Sunday night for this week’s first results show of the 2022 series.
One of the couples will be sent home, but are Graziano and Kym looking at an early departure.
Their Viennese Waltz impressed the judges and landed them a respectable score of 27, a step-up from last week’s 23 for their Jive.
However, they still have a long way to climb to beat the series’ current favourites, Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu, who are at the top of the leaderboard with a massive total of 65.
